چکیده

Abstract Background Naturally occurring substances of plant origin have long been used in folk medicine for curing various ailments including fever, pain, and inflammation etc. After careful evaluation on scientific bases, a large number those provides cheaper alternative to currently synthetic or semi-synthetic agents. Thus, with an aim discovering treatment such ailments, current study was carried out. Euphorbia granulata Forssk. had as therapeutic agent against morbid conditions, e.g., anthelmintic, snake bite, scorpion sting, purgative, diuretic, blood purifying medicine. The purpose the determine extended use based upon evaluation, explore potential its anti-proliferative, analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory activities while using aqueous methanol extract whole plant. Results In vivo performed female rats specie Rattus norvegicus weighing (100–150 g). Anti-inflammatory activity calculated carrageenan induced paw edema. Analgesic both central peripheral assessed by Eddy’s hot plate method acetic acid-induced writhing model, respectively. antipyretic appraised brewer’s yeast suspension, injected under nape neck, body temperature measured digital thermometer. strengths experiments were 50 mg, 100 200 mg/kg (diluted normal saline) administered through intra-peritoneal route. MTT assay estimate vitro anti-proliferative potential. For this assay, serial dilution μg/ml highest concentration. results demonstrated that at dose strength mg/kg, showed significant ( p * < 0.05) anti-inflammatory, activities. case however, no > observed up strength. Conclusion It can be concluded (whole plant) shown anti-pyretic animal model. Therefore it candidate, algesia, pyrexia, pathological origin. However, did not demonstrate any anti-proliferation doses study.

Objective(s) Current study was undertaken to investigate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of the aqueous extract of Teucrium chamaedrys in mice and rats. Materials and Methods For evaluating of analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity, we used the carrageenan- and dextran-induced paw oedema, acetic acid-induced writhing, tail flick and formalin pain tests. Results The extract of...

In vitro anti-inflammatory activity of fractionated Euphorbia hirta aqueous extract on rabbit synovial fibroblasts.

BACKGROUND Euphorbia hirta has been reported to possess anti-inflammatory activity. This study was carried out to determine the prostaglandin E 2 (PGE 2 ) inhibition activity of the fractions of the E. hirta aqueous extract on rabbit synovial fibroblast cells (HIG-82). METHODS E. hirta aqueous extract was fractionated into five fractions (fractions A, B, C, D, and E) by reversed phase flash c...

Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Activity of Physalis angulata Linn. (Solanaceae) Leaf Methanolic Extract in Swiss Albino Mice

Physalis angulata is a medicinal plant used for the treatment of malaria, ulcer, pains and other diverse ailments. The present study evaluated the analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity of methanolic leaf extract of the plant. Acetic acid-induced abdominal contraction or writhing analgesic models in Swiss albino mice (13-23g) were used for studying analgesic activity of the leaf extract. 200,...

Analgesic , anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity of Cissus quadrangularis

This study was intended to evaluate the analgesic anti-inflammatory and antipyretic activity of ethanolic extract of Cissus quadrangularis in experimental standard modals i.e. albino rats following oral administration. The results showed that the ethanolic extract significantly reduce the edema induced by carrageenan within 1 to 5 hrs. post dosing at all the dose levels used. On the analgesic p...

Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic and Antipyretic Activities of the Aqueous Methanolic Extract of Berberis Calliobotrys in Albino Mice.

The aqueous methanolic extract of stem part of Berberis calliobotiys (AMEBC) was evaluated for anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities in albino mice. Anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated by using carrageenan and albumin induced paw edema, while the analgesic effect was assessed by using formalin-induced paw licking and acetic acid induced abdominal writhing in mice. The bre...
